About Vyakti
We at Vyakti endeavour to make sense of the world by documenting people who have made exceptional choices in life and are the change agents.
Vyakti is a Hindi word for an individual. To Vyakt is to express, add i–represents ego–you get vyakti—the composite individual.
A Vyakti is the seed of change and resistance to change as well. It's the people who step out of the normative existence and make choices that may seem impractical, radical, revolutionary, criminal, or even farcical at the time, invariably get the ball rolling in a certain direction of change.
The change is certain. The nature of change, however, may offer some transient mystery. Technology has seeped into all aspects of our life, adding pace to the inevitable change, faster than ever before.
In this quagmire of a dynamic world, a Vyakti could be a good reference point–for is the change and the change agent as well.
This is to understand the world we inhabit, how we came here, and where we are heading at an express speed!

Mihir has worked for two decades with the leading national weeklies like Tehelka, India Today, Outlook and covered a host of issues ranging from politics, environment, wildlife and investigations. There are a couple of books to his credit, some are in the pipeline. Lately, was involved in the making of documentaries. A painter by hobby–documented humanity closely by way of art, is curious by temperament. To him writing and art are mediums to document people and their times. Journalist by heart, he seeks inspiration in the name of public interest for his writings and art by poking his nose into others' affairs. Travelling is a serious business for him.
